This year has been incredibly eventful. Both in my personal life and at Bloop.

In a quick overview, in 2014:

• I got married.
• I released an animated short.
• I published an ebook.

I’d say that’s pretty damn busy, but 2015 is here now and I wanted to share with you some of the plans I have for Bloop this year.

A New Animated Short

Yes, I’ve started working on the next short.

Bloop Animation was originally created as a place for me to make my animations and share the process with the viewers (using mostly video tutorials). Since that basic idea though, Bloop has evolved into more than that, with a broader vision. We have started a weekly animation news show (The Key Frame), delved into the storytelling rules of Pixar and in the works of making more stuff in that spirit.

HOWEVER, I did not forget about the core concept of what I’m trying to do with all of this, and that is to have a platform to make and release my animated short films. That is the most important thing for me, and I’m happy to say that the production of the next short has started (it even has a name!), but you will hear more about it soon. No worries – full transparency as always.

Ask Bloop

Right now Bloop is releasing 2 videos a week on a steady basis. The Key Frame on Thursdays and another video on Mondays. I’m happy to announce that a THIRD weekly video is going to be added, called #AskBloop.

#AskBloop is going to be a Q&A show, featuring me answering questions from viewers. Pretty simple. You’ll get to ask all the stuff you’ve wondered about the site, animation, filmmaking or whatever comes to mind. You can start submitting your questions via Twitter using the hashtag #AskBloop (some of you already have). I think it’s going to be fun!

This year have seen the biggest growth for Bloop yet, and it’s mostly because of you. I wanted to say thank you for following my little corner on the internet and hope to see you stick around this year as well. I promise you – it’s going to get even bigger next year!
